Now for the mushy stuff...

Michael and I met, as most of you know, on a blind date. I was good friends with Michael's best friend, Charlie who had this intuition that the two of us would be perfect together. He suggested that we meet and arranged for the two of us to talk on the phone with each other. We kept trying to make plans, but things kept coming up and it just never seemed to be a good time. Then, on June 2, 1999 Michael called at 5:00 pm and said "Listen, I have a really good feeling about this. Are you doing anything right now?" Even though I was somewhat busy, I loved his confidence and decided to meet him. Since it was a blind date, we decided that meeting at a restaurant would be best. We met at Le Bistro and immediately hit it off and talked for hours. He suggested that we go for a walk after dinner and we ended up sitting on this little park bench on the river. We just couldn't stop talking. It felt like we had known each other for years. I just didn't want the night to end. And now it never has to.
